These are some of the main things we want to alleviate or reduce when we practice self-care, right? We will learn about emotional intelligence, which is needed just as much as intellectual intelligence. Also, under the topic of self-confidence, we will look at decision-making and how to be confident about the decisions we make whether large or small. And we cannot discuss self-confidence and self-care without discussing getting out of your comfort zone? Lastly, on the topic of self-confidence, we will talk about creativity as a form of self-care and inner work.

We will move on from the topic of self-confidence to the topic of communication. In our discussion, we will dive into effective communication strategies. There is a difference between communication and effective communication. The main strategies in effective communication are active listening and assertive communication. I will provide you with some steps for practicing active listening and tips for practicing assertive communication.

Our last topic of self-care as it pertains to inner work will be planning. When you have a busy schedule and a list of people who demand a lot of your time, planning can be a good stress reliever. We will discuss quality time versus quantity of time and when each can be utilized. We talk about the importance of a social life as a form of self-care, and how to utilize planning to make sure you put social activities on your calendar. Finally, there will be a discussion about exploring new interests and hobbies.

Self-care is vital to our well-being, but sometimes it is challenging to put time on our schedule to attend a scheduled live discussion on a weekly basis. We will start the journey by meeting once every two weeks for an one-hour session. During our first session, I will spend time getting to know you and how you think. I will ask you what would you like to accomplish during our time together.

At the beginning of each session, we will have a check-in and recap on what took place in our last session. Then we will discuss what we will work on for the current session. I will ask you some tough questions which are needed to provoke you to think and reflect so we can get to the root of what is causing you to struggle to be the best version of yourself.
